Langdon Reid Bryan Kennedy Wil Reid Bryan Kennedy first met Wil and Langdon in Staunton, Virginia, circa late 1970s, when he would travel with his father to see the Statler Brothers perform their world famous Happy Birthday USA 4th of July celebrations. Bryan's father, Jerry Kennedy, was the president of Mercury Records in Nashville, Tennessee and the Statler Brothers were recording artists for Mercury. The Statler Brothers consisted of four members and though they carried the banner of “brothers”, only two were actual brothers: Harold Reid and Don Reid. Are you starting to put two and two together? Kennedy and Reid. That's right! Bryan's dad is Jerry Kennedy, renowned record producer and guitar player. Wil's dad is Harold Reid, bass singer and songwriter of The Statler Brothers and Langdon's dad is Don Reid, the lead singer and songwriter of The Statler Brothers. Jerry and the Statlers’ relationship began professionally in 1970 and forty-some odd albums later, their success is still undeniable and country music listeners are grateful and thankful for these talents coming together. So basically, all this means that Wil and Langdon are first cousins who are best friends with Bryan and this makes them all like brothers. This might help explain how these three fellas (Langdon, Bryan, and Wil) all ended up to be accomplished songwriters, singers and entertainers. And as fate would have it, all three working together on the hilarious and heart warming MistleToe Roaster. When you see MistleToe Roaster you will be pleased to learn that these three really live up to the legacy of their musical heritage! Click photo for individual bio.
